Easter at Grandma's

We had a beautiful Easter.  It was chilly in the morning, but warmed up nicely.  There was a lot of good food, and a lot of family, and it was a fun day for all of us.  The kids were SO excited for Grandma's egg hunt, and they were thrilled with their loot!  It was a wonderful Easter.

Easter Morning

Pancakes and Eggs

Leading up to Easter, I made bunny butt pancakes for the kiddos.  They came out cute.

On Saturday (the day before Easter), the girls decorated Easter eggs.

The first method this year was crayon on hot eggs.

Then they used regular Crayola washable paint to decorate some eggs.
Kate is a little obsessed with the color pink.

I happened to have some Kool Aid packets, so we tried a resist next.  Reagan wrote on eggs with a white crayon, and added some star stickers.  She then put those eggs in a bowl of Kool Aid powder mixed with water.  Kate did this too, but with stickers only.

The crayon resist worked great!  We let the eggs dry for a bit before peeling off the star stickers.
The sticker resist was equally successful!  Above you can see Kate's eggs, and the eggs below were decorated by Reagan.

Kate was funny.  She wanted to hold and crush her eggs!

Collin didn't want to decorate this year, but he got in on the egg crushing fun.
Egg salad anyone?
