Baby Update

It's about time for a baby update, right?  As you can see, I am the baby is growing.  She is moving around and hiccuping (LOVE that) quite regularly now and I LOVE every minute of it.  I am completely over the morning sickness and I can even brush my teeth without feeling sick.  Typical for me in pregnancy, leg cramps are keeping me awake at night, and you should be happy that you can't see my legs in this photo because they are covered in unsightly spider veins and varicose veins.  I'm not complaining though; it's all worth it in the end.  I have not had any heartburn during this pregnancy, so I am guessing that I will have another bald baby.  R has been my only baby born with any significant amount of hair, and the only pregnancy that I experienced any heartburn.  If you think that is an old wives tale, I recently read that there is scientific research linking heartburn during pregnancy to hair on the baby.  My craving for mashed potatoes seems to be gone, and I haven't really experienced any other cravings - there is still time though!  You may have also noticed how dark my hair is now; I don't like to highlight my hair when I am pregnant so what you see is my actual hair color with a few remnants of the old highlights here and there.  I am feeling pretty good and I cannot believe how quickly this pregnancy is going by - the baby isn't even born yet and she is growing up so fast!

Glad to hear you are feeling better. I agree about the heartburn, I had it really bad with my first and boy did she have a head of hair, not so bad with my son, but he had less hair. Sorry to hear you have the leg cramps at night.

You look great! I had heartburn once when I was pregnant and Abby was totally bald, except a little peach fuzz.

I need highlights so bad!

This is my first pregnancy with heartburn - maybe I'll have a baby with hair!

I always get the *worst* charlie horses in my legs during pregnancy, but it is a small price to pay.

I hear other women complaining about even small movements and it mystifies me. Since this is likely our last pregnancy (as our last one was ;) ), I'm loving every movement I get - it's my favorite part of pregnancy.

You look so fantastic. I hope the pregnancy keeps progressing well.

LOL! I had horrible heartburn (like Tums several times a day, starting on Prilosec) BEFORE I got pregnant the first time. When I got preggo, the heartburn went away and my baby was born with a head FULL of hair! Never had heartburn again and I've had a second baby with a head full of hair and a baldy. Ever heard of pregnancy CURING heartburn???

You look cute! I am letting all the gray hang out, too....well, you just mentioned highlighting, but I try to color the gray to match my natural brown.

I'm off to read about heartburn. I had heartburn at probably week 8 or so...and I'm not convinced that the baby had hair then. :)

I found if I ate a banana in the evening, I wouldn't get those night time leg cramps - something about a lack of potassium, I guess. Don't you just love all the advice that comes from everyone, when you're pregnant? :)
You look great - it doesn't look like you've gained an extra pound beyond the baby!

You look fantastic!

I've had heartburn with every pregnancy, and all three babies had hair, although not a ton. Then they all went bald...

I second what An Almost Unschooling Mom said about bananas - it never solved the problem completely, but it helped.

And I never dye my hair (too lazy), but it's gotten darker with every baby. It used to be medium brown, and after three babies it's definitely dark brown and now going quite grey...

I'm so glad to hear you're feeling great! You're looking great too. I always gained way too much wait with pregnancies. Fortunately it came right off.

Can't believe you had cravings for mashed potatoes -- I did too when I was pregnant w/ Clara!! I could eat bowls & bowls of them. Love the belly pics! You look adorable!! xoxo

I don't like bananas so I never tried it, but heard it does help. I had the leg cramps pretty bad with each pregnancy. They hurt so bad and wake you up in shock.

You look adorable!! I love that picture! So glad you are feeling good! Enjoy it! I remember how fast my pregnancy with Jesse passed--in a blink. Each day since has passed just as quickly :(.

No heartburn with Hanna and she was totallly bald. Heartburn and reflux with each of the boys and they all had hair. Funny, isn't it?

Hope you continue to feel good!

Look how stinkin' cute you look!!!! Glad you're feeling better!

And there is definitely truth to the heartburn/hair theory. Both my girls had FULL heads of hair when born and I had terrible heartburn during the 3rd trimester!

You look absolutely adorable!
I had all hairy babies..and all heartburn! I don't color my hair either...so I always have a very distinct line when the baby finally comes. Your hair looks good...your lucky! I hope the rest of the pregnancy will be wonderfully easy!
