C had to do this project for school, and I think it would be a great activity for the kids' table on Thanksgiving. He brought home a very basic, easy to draw picture of a turkey that he had to disguise. The turkey is hoping that his disguise will prevent him from becoming the main course at Thanksgiving dinner.
If you draw a simple turkey like the one above, you could provide the kids with a variety of art supplies (markers, glitter glue, stickers, pom poms, etc.) to disguise their turkeys. I can picture turkeys disguised as princesses, cartoon characters, soldiers, cowboys, etc. The possibilities are endless!
If you decide to do this, I would love to see your turkeys in disguise!

Thank you so much! This will be a perfect activity at our house with Maddie full of energy and mommy still on the mend!
cute!
Froggi got to do something like that too in kindergarten! :)
So cute! First I need to get B to try and like turkey and then we'll do some fun activities like that. =)
This is fun! C's Wolverine Turkey is very good too:-). I like this idea!
I really like this idea! Joe would have fun with this. C did a great job on his Wolverine Turkey. It's like Joe with his dinosaur/dragon fascination:-).
Funny. I just posted about D loving a book about Wolverine and said, What is it with boys and Super Heroes?
What a great idea. Thanks
C's Wolverine turkey is awesome. Of course, it's too early for us, but I like the idea - pretty neat.
I love that activity idea - it seems really fun, and gets the kids thinking. C did a great job with it, too.
