We are starting to make some puppets to reenact the first Thanksgiving! So far, we have:
One little,

Two little,

Three little Native American boys.

We began by painting R's palm with a combination of red and brown paint to make the face. Each of her four fingers was painted a different color to make the feathers of the headdress.

Once dry, R drew faces on them, we cut them out, and glued them to craft sticks. The pilgrims have not arrived yet, but they will be here soon.

What a fun idea and so cute!
I love this! What a fun idea, and you can learn at the same time!!
Super cute idea! I love that little ones can do the whole project (besides painting their hands) by themselves.
I can tell R really likes to have her hands painted :) Those Indians are very cute!
So cute. We are going to do a hand print project today too.
Cute!
So do you actually sing the song that way?
Those are so cute! Looks like R had a really fun time making them with you.
Good news -- I just received permission from Dawn (aka UK Lass) to sell some fabric dollhouses in our etsy shop! You can find them there early next week. :-)
Haven't seen this craft idea before - awesome!
