T and C went off to their first day of school in the pouring rain - no outside photos this year!
To start the day, I made homemade waffles and used chocolate chips and whipped cream to write the number of the grades they are beginning.
That is a nine - T doesn't like whipped cream. |
First day of high school! |
First day of second grade! |
R had a special K for Kindergarten waffle with banana slices.
Seeing as though my due date is tomorrow, I can't even tell you how happy I was that I could bring her to this special school day. R met her new teacher (she already knew her though - she was C's Kindergarten teacher and we are SO happy to have her again!!!!!!!!!!), met some of her classmates, learned a little about Kindergarten, and went on a short bus ride to learn about bus safety.
I think Kelly is a little sad that summer is over and everyone is heading off to school. Little does she know, there will be a baby to keep her company soon!

I am so glad you made it to orientation, I know how important that was to you. The waffles are so cute and fun!
Also, 9th grade! Yikes!
That poor dog is having a rough summer!
So glad you could be there...and to make a great breakfast for all three kids.
What are your blogging plans once baby arrives? Do you intend to still pop in once in a while or take a long break? I don't know what I'll do!!
So glad you are still posting live. Looking forward to hearing lovely news soon!!
Not like whipped cream? That is wrong :). I'm so glad you could make it
I emailed you about the pics...but, the kids all look wonderful for their first day of school!
OK, I read here now that R's first full day is Monday. I am SO happy for you that you made it to take her and she had a good orientation too.
Funny about T not liking whipped cream. Joe can't stand it either.
This is such a nice back to school breakfast. I'm so impressed you had enough energy to make it!
Little Wonders' Days
Sounds like our first day of school - minus the waffles. You are such a fun mom!
I am glad you were able to send your kids off to school in a style that is truly only yours. Your poor dog, so sad, but wait until the baby arrives.
I've never been able to stand whipped cream either. I used to get so upset if it ended up on my plate at a restaurant :)
T looks so grown up in his picture, and C and R are adorable as always. I'll be thinking of, and praying for you and your family over the next few days, and hoping for a quick delivery, and a healthy baby and mom.
All the best!
Too bad it rained so much. Makes the day a little less bright. Looks like you started off things right with waffles, though. Mmm.
Congrats on their first day of school. LOVE the special breakfast you made them.
What a great school tradition to celebrate a start of a new year with a special breakfast. I wish you an easy delivery. I can't believe your next post will probably be a baby post! I wish you all the best in delivery and can't wait for the baby pictures.
Hope the kids had a good first day! Our first week went well, but now Momma is sick. :(
