Somerset Schools Color Run

On May 16, Reagan and Kate ran in the one mile color run to raise money for technology in our schools.  A color run is one of those races where the volunteers throw colored powder at all of the runners.  I'm not sure why anyone ever thought this was a good idea; the powder gets in your mouth and your eyes and up your nose, but most of the kids did not seem to mind!

This was Kate's first race; Reagan has run in a couple of races, but this was her first color run.

Warming up.

Dad provided a little encouragement for Kate.
 Look at her go!

Reagan wasn't quite herself during this race, and we didn't know why until later in the day (more on that later), but she still did great.

Kate was absolutely adorable.  She really enjoyed the race!  She did not like the colored powder though, and tried to avoid it by running behind the people throwing it on the runners.
Karlie, Reagan, and Allison didn't mind the colored powder though!

I love any event that brings the community together and raises money for a good cause.  It's even better when my kids get involved!
