Treats from Vermont

We are currently studying the state of Vermont as part of our Fifty States Project.  Our state studies always involve food, and Vermont = maple syrup and Ben & Jerry's.

I was so proud of C.  He is not a fan of anything sticky and usually only has powdered sugar on his pancakes, but he was a good sport and willing to try sticky maple syrup for the sake of geography!

He thought it was delicious!

Ben & Jerry's Phish Food ice cream - always a delicious treat!

See, I'm a Blue Bell girl myself, but then that's our Texas ice cream.
And yummm, maple syrup!

OH I LOVE Ben and Jerry's! I used to eat it all the time!!!! NY Super Fudge Chunk was my fave!!

You know, I gave up ice cream altogether after I had Jack, went back to it during preggo with Jesse, and gave it up again as soon as I had him:-).

You know me, it's got to be all or nothing, *big sigh*....

I've been following your blog for some time but haven't commented. Love all your ideas! We just started the 50 states postcard exchange and I'm having a hard time finding fun and interesting ways to study them. Your ideas of incorporating food is great!

I knew it - pancakes are coming up :) Yay to C for trying maple syrup. Anna recently discovered it and don't mind stickiness at all :) The pictures of R playing ball are too funny.

I love how you have developed this project! It's so neat! When are you getting to California?

Well, I am thinking of doing a geography study next year (after the holidays are way behind me) and Chronicles of an Infant Bibliophile suggested that I check out your activities. I love them! I love when somebody else does the work for me (hee hee). I can't wait to try some of these things. Shes a toddler so I am not trying to get her to memorize the states but I thought doing a study would be fun, especially the way you do it (derby, sunflowers, syrup, etc.)
