T is in eighth grade.
C is in first grade.
R is in the 4 year class at a private preschool.
While they were in school this morning, I made this surprise treat:
I certainly do not have a future in cake decorating. Wow, it's hard! I know it looks a little messy, but at least you can tell what it is supposed to be, and I don't think the kids will care if it is messy.
*You can find directions to make this school bus cake on the Family Fun magazine website. They make it look easy, and their cake is much prettier.

I've made a few of those kind of cakes - so I know how hard they can be - yours turned out super!
That cake looks delicious! I bet the kids loved it!
that is so sweet!!!!
WOW! They'll love it! So do I. Good for you to make it, even if it's not the way you envisioned it. (I found that the star tip I used on the cookie worked really well for a uniform look...bc I can't spread frosting to save myself.)
I went to Family Fun and saw a pencil cake right next to the school bus! hehe. I do need to explore there a bit more. Their cake looked fake by the way!
That cake is so cute! I'm sure your kids will be thrilled, and very happy to eat it =)
So cute! I hope they all have a wonderful first day of school!
That bus does look hard to make! Don't you just love how they make it look so easy in the magazines?!
Yours turned out great! I tried making panda cupcakes and it was pitiful. Cake decorating is hard!
Great pictures and congratulations on the first day of school. I give this cake a solid "A" for effort - I wouldn't even attempt anything like this :)
I always laugh at their pictures for the crafts. I know if I attempted one it wouldn't look anywhere near as cute as the ones they show. Somehow they make their recyclables crafts look super cute and not like it's made from recyclables.
That being said, I think your cake turned out super cute.
This is absolutely awesome! Your bus is adorable! =)
Yum - very cute cake! (And even cuter kids, of course). :)
What a cute cake. I bet it was enjoyed!
