They toured the USS Massachusetts first. We learned that this ship was involved in 35 WWII battles and never lost a man in combat.
No one thought this would be a nice place to sleep. R looks pretty comfortable though.The Wilson Flat Stanley siblings also enjoyed touring the USS JosephP. Kennedy, Jr. This destroyer earned two battle stars in the Korean War and was the only American vessel to board a Soviet-chartered ship during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.
While touring the battleships, we saw men working at the very top of the nearby Braga Bridge.

Glad the Stanley family got to go to such a cool place, even if the bridge did make them a bit squeemish:-).
