R and I used masking tape to create a birch tree on our sliding glass door. C and R have been busy adding details with their Crayola window crayons.
So far, we have grass,
ants parading to their ant hill,
eggs hatching in a nest,
a beehive with a few bees,
and a butterfly and a few birds. There are a few tiny buds on those branches, but not many. As you can see in the background, the trees around here are still bare.
This is definitely a work in progress.

Oooohhhhh, I LOVE this idea! I need to hunt down my window markers.
this is so cute! I love it!
Great activity to go along with the window markers. I bought a set after seeing them mentioned on Little Page Turners. My daughter created a life-sized girl one day on our window.
I've been following your blog for a while and have never commented. Since I use so many of your wonderful ideas I thought that now would be a good time to speak up. :)
I love this! I like it so much that I am bookmarking it and investing in some window crayons so that we can do this in the near future. Thank you for sharing your creativeness!
How pretty! I hope the spring will start in earnest on the East Coast soon.
What a fun idea! I hope you post more photos as they add to their creation!
This is a terrific idea, esp. since my boys love being in the windows.
What fun! It looks like a very lively little tree :)

Love this!!!!!! We're updating our window display for Spring too. I am SO over Winter -- feels like it lasted forever, doesn't it??
Loving this! A simple start brings on lots of creativity for the kids! I wish I had a patio door to do this... I guess I have a picture window right in front!
I would love for you to link this post up in our new party - It's Playtime!
Thanks!
