R's Favorite Book of the Week
Do Princesses Have Best Friends Forever by Carmela LaVigna Coyle is R's favorite book right now. I'm certainly not surprised. She loves princesses and she loves her friends. This book is one that she can relate to one hundred percent.
Two little girls celebrate their friendship by playing dress up (R's favorite activity), making forts, stomping in the mud, and more during a playdate. I love that the girls have a problem during the playdate and manage to resolve it on their own. R and C both love that the brother of the hosting child is included in all of the play.
What did I look at on every page? The playdate hosting mom in the book. I know she is just an illustration, but I am impressed by how happy and calm she remains through the activity-filled, messy, daylong playdate!!! I'll have to remember that next time I host a playdate!
It is a cute book, and at the end of the book there are two pink paper friendship bracelets (one to give to a friend). I think we may also make some of our own friendship bracelets soon!
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for the review. This did not influence my opinion of the book, and R certainly did not care that the book was free, she just loves it.

I'd be afraid to see myself as a picture book illustration :)
I'll have to see if we can find that. It sounds adorable.
It does sound like a very cute book. It's weird but I rarely get to host playdates - they are usually done in the mornings when I am at work. I am a bit intimidated by them :)
It sounds like a really sweet book. I hope I can remember it in another year for Sassyfras.
What do you put in your Christmas popcorn? I just do M&Ms for any occassion and I think my crowd would love something different.
Oh now I have to look for this book. Selena would absolutely love it just because it is about Princesses.
All three of my girls would love this!
That sounds cute. Remember friendship pins?
This is my new favorite book for the little ones!! One of a series of 5 by my sister, Carmela, and illustrator, Mike Gordon. Check out their 4 other books which are as charming as the new BFF one!!
