Letter G Fun

We used our homemade pumpkin pie play dough for letter G fun this week.

Kate loves to put toothpicks in play dough.

I gave her some green beads (emphasizing that green starts with G) to push into the dough.

She wanted more beads, so I showed her how to put the beads on the toothpicks she had placed in the dough.

Her letter g snack was grapes, and we have been reading one of her favorite books, Good Night Gorilla by Peggy Rathmann all week.  She loves that book almost as much as Collin did at this age.  It's one book that I don't mind reading over and over again.

We also visited the Fall River Children's Museum this week.

She loved watching the colors drip down in these bottles.  I want to make her a discovery bottle soon.

She was also very fond of using the magnifying glasses to observe shells and feathers.

For some reason I didn't get a picture of her using magnetic wands to pick up paper clips, but she was very intrigued by that as well.

It's so nice to have this little gem of a place so close to home.  It's perfect for Kate, and she has a different experience each time we visit.

I know I said it before, but I just love Kate's expressions when she concentrates. Discovery bottles can be so much fun for little ones and quite relaxing for bigger kids too.
