I gave C and R paper lunch bags and stickers for them to create their own gingerbread houses. They also used markers to draw doors and windows. Once they were done decorating, we stuffed them with crumpled newspaper and added folded construction paper roofs and paper bag chimneys.
C's house is on the left and R's is on the right.

What fun houses. The perfect type of Christmas craft, no real mess :).
Not that I do that many of those here.
This is a gingerbread house of my own liking :) Great idea, and we might try this craft later in the season :)
So cute! These would make great crafts for a Christmas party.
Those are so cute and look easy to make too!
oo I love these! They can stay looking cute for much longer than the cookie ones :-P
Those are so adorable! What a great idea! :)
OOOOHHHH LOVE THIS!!
Once again, you are brilliant!
These look great (and will stay nice way longer than the edible kind)!
Oh so cute and less mess than the "real" deal! Will need to try it!! Kerri
These are absolutely adorable! First time here...GREAT blog :)
GREAT idea!! They turned out really cute. I may do this for Sassyfras and Juiciness when we decorate our real house.
Also, we don't have a copy of Snowmen at Christmas, but if I can get it from the library soon, I'd love to read it with the kids. They are big fans of Snowmen at Night! I'm assuming you've read it...is it just as fun?
Where do you come up with these ideas?! This is so cute!
So CUTE!!! What a creative idea and thanks for sharing. I'll be making with my child care. Will post the connection to your blog when I do at countryfun.edublogs.org.
ok this is a fab idea!!! Those bags are very difficult fo rme to get my hands on but I could possibly find and recylce a cardboard box!!

These are adorable! I wish I had Christmas stickers. I can't believe I don't, now that I think about it. Someone needs to hit the dollar store.
Oh my these are simply adorable!! I know my son would really enjoy doing this - but living in the UK we don't have large paper bag (sigh). Never the less, lovely to see and always an inspiration!
