Halloween 2015

Papa surprises us every year with a different costume.  This year he came looking for a brain.  The zombie bride probably had it.

Most of our trick or treating crew:

They all had so much fun trick or treating this year.

I wasn't able to get pictures of Kate with the triplets, but they stuck together and it was really nice for Kate to trick or treat with kids her age.  They tired out at the same time too, perfect!

I think the whip and nae nae song is the most memorable tune of the year for our household.  Here is a video of our trick or treating crew doing their own rendition, complete with a little dancing:

Once again Halloween fell on the weekend, and we had a lot of people at our house after trick or treating.  Those that dared to bob for apples got a little wet, but they had a lot of fun.  Reagan did very well; check her out in this video:

Levels of Horror

Tom came up with levels of horror to make our Halloween happenings a little more exciting this year!  Yikes!  Collin, Reagan, the Finlaw kids, James Phenix, and occasionally a few other friends (Miranda, Madison, and Karlie) have been part of the levels.  Kate was very content to stay with Grandma or Isabel while we did this; she doesn't even like to go near the Halloween aisle ("scary ection") in Target!  I already posted about our trip to the haunted hayride at Almeida's, that was the first level (although that does not make it any less scary!  I honestly think it may have been the scariest now that I look back at all of the events), and there have been a few more adventures.

Ghoulie Manor

Tom's rules:
1.  If Addie goes, her Daddy goes
2.  If you go for the ride, you go inside
3.  If you have to pee, don't pee on me
4.  If Christy (me) goes, Becky (Finlaw) goes

Ha ha ha!  The kids loved these rules.

Originally, I had no interest in any of this and really didn't want to participate, but it ended up being so much fun because we were all together with good friends.  We are looking forward to new levels of horror next year!

September Stuff

The month of September was busy, and it was over in the blink of eye.  Here's a peek at some of what we did.
Reagan went to see One Direction with Allison.  They had a great time.

Reagan's soccer team.  She has teammates named Tyler, Collin, and Katelyn, and they all spell their names the same way our children's names are spelled.  How funny is that?

Kate started taking swimming lessons at the Barrington Y.  She LOVES it this time and really looks forward to going.  Her teacher is wonderful.

Kate and I went to a zoo class where we learned about giraffes.

After the zoo class, we spent some time with the goats.  Kate enjoyed feeding, brushing, and loving them.

It was just about this time that a zoo employee told Kate she was giving out a little too much love.

Reagan saw an orthopedic doctor at Boston Children's and we learned that she has extra bones in her feet.  She is doing physical therapy to help with her ankle pain.

 Spirit of Somerset was fun!

Disney on Ice was a birthday present for Kate, and she was very happy to share that experience with Reagan.  We had a great time!

Reagan started playing the cello through the school strings program.

 Public Safety Day fun!

I love Kate's corner kick.  So cute!

Reagan is playing in a weekly field hockey league at Moses Brown in Providence.

Magna Tiles are awesome; they are played with often here.
I took this picture looking into the top of Kate's Magna Tiles tower.

Kate enjoys patterns.  We have tons of these little erasers, and she used them to make a few different patterns.

We ended September with an early start on Halloween horrors!  Almeida's haunted hayride had some of us in stitches laughing, while some did not find it funny at all.  A few tears were shed that night, but it was fun to have a big group and overall it was entertaining.

Summer Days Drifting Away

September rolled in and we continued making the most of summer vacation.
 Beach gymnastics with Allison

Barrington Playground

A lot of schools around here start up the last week of August, so on the Friday before Labor Day, we took advantage of the fact that Water Wizz would be less crowded.  We had a blast!

Tom and Reagan went down those ridiculously high water slides.  There is no way you would get me up there!
Do you see Tom waving in the above picture?  Reagan is right next to him.

You can tell that it was slightly overcast that day; that also helped us avoid crowds!
Collin wasn't so sure he would like water slides, but he ended up loving them.

See that giant black tube water slide?  The next picture is of Reagan shooting out of the tube SUPER fast!

Kate loved everything about Water Wizz.  She had a great time!

And just like that, summer vacation was over.
