September Stuff

The month of September was busy, and it was over in the blink of eye.  Here's a peek at some of what we did.

 Reagan went to see One Direction with Allison.  They had a great time.

Reagan's soccer team.  She has teammates named Tyler, Collin, and Katelyn, and they all spell their names the same way our children's names are spelled.  How funny is that?

 Kate started taking swimming lessons at the Barrington Y.  She LOVES it this time and really looks forward to going.  Her teacher is wonderful.

 Kate and I went to a zoo class where we learned about giraffes.

After the zoo class, we spent some time with the goats.  Kate enjoyed feeding, brushing, and loving them.

 It was just about this time that a zoo employee told Kate she was giving out a little too much love.

 Reagan saw an orthopedic doctor at Boston Children's and we learned that she has extra bones in her feet.  She is doing physical therapy to help with her ankle pain.

 Spirit of Somerset was fun!

Disney on Ice was a birthday present for Kate, and she was very happy to share that experience with Reagan.  We had a great time!

 Reagan started playing the cello through the school strings program.

 Reagan is playing in a weekly field hockey league at Moses Brown in Providence.

 Magna Tiles are awesome; they are played with often here.

Kate enjoys patterns.  We have tons of these little erasers, and she used them to make a few different patterns.

We ended September with an early start on Halloween horrors!  Almeida's haunted hayride had some of us in stitches laughing, while some did not find it funny at all.  A few tears were shed that night, but it was fun to have a big group and overall it was entertaining.

Disney on Ice

The girls received a joint Christmas present - tickets to Disney on Ice with me on the day after Christmas!

We arrived a little early, so the girls got snow cones in Disney cups to enjoy while we waited.  Reagan chose an Olaf cup and Kate chose an Anna and Elsa cup.  They both chose Olaf straws.

Right before the show started, we bought a bag of cotton candy that came with an Olaf hat.

We (except Kate) have been to Disney on Ice a few times, but this was definitely the best one I have ever seen.  I especially loved the Frozen segment (it snowed; I thought that was so very cool!).  Reagan and Kate enjoyed the entire show; Kate was completely mesmerized by the entire program.  She sang a lot of the songs throughout the show, and I had so much fun just watching her enjoy the whole thing.  We had GREAT seats too, just three rows back from the ice.  There were a lot of empty seats, which was nice because we didn't really have to deal with crowds when we visited the bathroom and bought a pretzel during intermission.

I'm so happy that we went.  It was a fantastic outing for the girls and me!  We all enjoyed every minute!

Disney on Ice

One of Reagan's Christmas presents was tickets for us to go see Disney on Ice.  Reagan and I went with her friend Courtney and Courtney's mom.  We all had a great time!

The girls both got spinning, light up Tinker Bell wands, snow cones in Tinker Bell cups, and cotton candy that came with Mickey ears.

We had great seats and there was no one sitting directly in front of the girls, so they had a fantastic view.

It was really dark so the pictures aren't great.

 When we left the show, it was snowing pretty hard - our first real snowfall of the season.

We ended the night with dinner at 1149.  The restaurant was empty, so the girls could be silly and not bother anyone.  They loved that.

It was a fun day out for all of us!
