Kool Aid

When I was a kid, I drank Kool Aid. Did you? My children don't drink it, but they create beautiful Kool Aid paintings!

We used three different kinds of Kool Aid. I put one packet into each bowl and mixed the powder with 2 tablespoons of water. Mix well and then paint!

When the paintings dry, they smell delicious. If the smell fades, simply scratch and sniff the artwork.

What a "Kool" idea! :) We make play dough from kool aid, but I never thought to paint with it.

I grew up on Kool-Aid--grape and tropical punch--yum. ;)

I got a whole bunch of packets for a few pennies once (some kind of good coupon deal), but after his first cup Gerrick decided he doesn't like it.

We'll have to try this--great way to use those packets just lying in the pantry. :)

Looks like fun, here is another kool-aid idea. When it is raining outside, sprinkle the powder on a sheet of white paper go out in the rain and let the rain drops fall on the paper and see the art work that turns out.
I have an in home daycare/preschool and this is a fun activity we do.

Fun stuff!

I drank it, but don't intend to serve it to my kids. Meghan has had gatorade (made from mix) a couple times...an ounce or so at a time when Derek has it. I am now willing to give her lemonade when we're at a party or something like that,...kool aid too...but really, I don't want to. She drinks 3 oz of juice daily, 20 oz of milk, and the rest is water.

I can't do this project yet...she's all about sniffing everything...and eating it...or would that be reason to do it? I'm not sure.

This is one of my daughter's favorite things to do. She loves to paint pictures of fruit with it!! It really does smell lovely. :-)
