To continue building upon our knowledge of Rhode Island, we did the following activities:
C and R colored pictures of the Rhode Island Red Rooster. The Red has been the official state bird since 1954. The printout came from www.EnchantedLearning.com. C also did a dot to dot of the state that we found at that website.
C and R had fun playing at the Providence Children's Museum.
So far, we have learned about three states and have been fortunate to spend time in all three. C and R are going to be disappointed when we get to a state that we are unable to visit. If only we could travel the country and learn as we go; that would be something special!
Reminder: Don't forget to come back here or visit the Dairy Queen's blog on Monday for the big announcement!

I'd be happy to send you a post card! We live in PA, but frequent Delaware and Maryland. If noone else offers, we can do those, too!
Do you know the book Flat Stanley? A lot of teachers send out Flat Stanleys to friends and "he" keeps a notebook or sends stuff back. You might consider it! Also, you might make a note on your blog's sidebar so that if you get new visitors, they see it. Just some thoughts.
Oh. You could even ask for recipes from each state...but I know we have a book of it too. If you're interested I can send you the title. (I wasn't super impressed, but kids might find it fun to at least look at.)
