Lost Posts

Am I the only one who is still missing posts?  This whole experience has been very frustrating.  I think Blogger could do more to keep us informed.  They have our email addresses - why can't they update us?  Why do I have to search for information?  According to Blogger, "nearly all posts have been restored" - Whoopdy doo!  I have two missing posts and one missing draft.  I guess I learned my lesson; it's time for me to draft my posts somewhere else.

Say it with me, "Get Windows Livewriter," it will make your life SO much easier.

As to the still missing posts, my one post is back up. I thought I'd seen your posts come back, or at least two of them showed up in my reader, but that doesn't mean I was unaware of some that were deleted by Blogger. In theory they're going to put back the comments as well, but that hasn't happened either.

Mine returned yesterday - they just popped up with no warning. Hopefully yours will do the same soon!

I haven't gotten my comments back. Since I use Livewriter I was able to restore my posts myself. I am hearing stories about lost posts, and comments all over blogger. I guess we get what we pay for.

I think mine are all back...hoping so. Hopefully in another day yours will return, too.

Try Windows Live Writer. I love it and wouldn't blog any other way. It's free too. I think you'll like it ;)

Hmmm, thinking back my comment was not the most well phrased, retrying that. I LOVE WIndows Livewriter, and think it's a great way to write posts.

I just have to jump in here and mention Windows Live Writer as well. I just started with it and LOVE it - can't imagine doing it the old way anymore!!

If you have a Mac, you have to pay for Livewriter. There are other Mac options but so far I haven't found one that is as good.

Everytime something like this happens, I realize how much I depend on blogging. It makes me take a step back.

The comments are gone, I believe, but at least the posts survived. I do agree with you - Blogger could be better about keeping people informed. 2 days outage is mind boggling in our Cloud-connected world.

Fortunately, I'm still finishing up with my big charity event and haven't done much posting, but I saw where everything went down and posts were being deleted. Crazy! Somehow my open id has been messed up and won't work, so that's my complaint for the day.
