The Black Pearl

C enjoys Lego toys more than anything else right now.  I am always amazed by his ability to complete Lego projects quickly and easily.

Santa brought C the Lego Pirates of the Caribbean Black Pearl for Christmas.  While C does assemble most of his Lego sets on his own, this was a big project (804 pieces) so he worked with Dad. They worked on it a little at a time and last night they finished it.  C was so excited!

As soon as they finished, C began talking about the next Lego project - the Pirates of the Caribbean Mill.

I just saw that set at Target yesterday and thought it was so cool! I love Legos! Have you seen the new Lego Friends sets for girls? Abby loves them. Of course, they didn't come out until AFTER Christmas.

This is really cool. Did you know that Lego just launched a new line of girl-friendly Legos? Unfortunately, they only started it after Christmas (very silly!). I am so tempted, but Anna still has a lot of projects waiting for her including a Christmas present - a Log Cabin

That is so cool! I haven't quite taken the plunge and gotten the boys a set that big yet. Right now they're still more concerned about the guys they get than what it builds.

Great job C! What a fun ship! What do you guys do w/ the completed projects? Sammy got his first set of legos this year (McQueen).

That lego ship is AMAZING!!! My kids don't even realize the sets exist yet, but they love free play with legos.

I bet he had a lot of fun working with his dad! Our big dilemma is always whether to leave the project intact, or tear it appart and use the legos for other projects.

This is so awesome! Now I would love to see the Pirates of the Caribbean Mill, only because those are my favorite movies.

Christy, this is amazing!! I love it! Joe needs some stuff like this. I'm thinking birthday for sure. In reading the comments left, I had no idea Lego had girl's stuff now too--that's pretty neat.

That's wonderful! Little J is a lego fan too. He hasn't done a project this large yet though.
