R's Starry Night

R made this in her Kindergarten art class.  In the first class, they learned about Vincent Van Gogh and talked about his use of swirls and broken lines in the "Starry Night" piece.  Then, they made the background.

In the second class, they drew, colored, and cut out a city scene to use as the foreground.  The green house is our home.

They also listened and moved their bodies to the song "Vincent" by Don McClean.

C made his own "Starry Night" when he was in Kindergarten too.  Here is a picture of it:

That is so cool that you have one from each kid. It's neat to see the difference in their work.

With all the differences between the two, they really do look so much alike.

That's a very cool art project!
I love that they have both made one...and that they have their own styles! :)

I LOVE this project! Any chance you'll post it at the other site as well?

What a great project! Sadly, Anna's K doesn't have an art curruculum. There is an Art Vista program that happens once a month and taught by a parent volunteer. So sad!

Oh, I remember C's Starry Night! R did a super job on hers too. I've always wanted to do one here with Joe.

These are both so good. I know you love having them.
