Independence Day

On the 4th of July, we invited friends over for food, fireworks, and fun.  The kids ran around, jumped in the sprinkler, made paper bag wind socks, ate a lot of food, drank hot chocolate (????? they were cold from the sprinkler!???), and enjoyed more fireworks.

LOL! "Cold from the sprinkler"! It was the hottest 4th of July on record here. Today was 111. Tomorrow will be 114. It's insane.

It looks like you all had a great 4th!

My kids get cold from playing in the sprinkler too. I'm always handing out popsicles to make matters worse. Maybe I'll try the hot cocoa trick!

The paper bag windsocks are cute!

Sounds like a perfect day. It's awesome to have company with kids around - adults can actually talk to each other while the kids play.
