R's Christmas House

R made a Christmas House in school.  I love this project, and the kids do too.  It's so great that they can have a little Christmas in public school!

The Roof - Santa's sleigh pulled by a reindeer, the chimney, snow, and lights

I love the tree!  Notice the pattern work of the beads.

The photo over the fireplace is so precious!

C made one when he was in Kindergarten too.

This picture makes me smile for so many reasons.  It was our first year in this house (we moved the week of Thanksgiving, so we had only been here a few weeks when this photo was taken) and we no longer have that wallpaper in the kitchen.  Also, in the background on the refrigerator, you can see a drawing by C of our new house.

I hope to have these as part of our Christmas decor for many years to come.  They are my favorite decorations!

I love the house - what a great project for K level. Anna's school did quite a bit both for Hanukkah and Christmas. Apparently, the teacher thinks that playing dreidel is great for math skills, and they also wrote a letter to Santa each and got a reply. Santa also sent them an ice block - a big surprise for San Jose kids :)

That is a great project! Our school won't come anywhere near the word "Christmas" - we have a "holiday gift shop" and that's it.
