R made this scrunch art ice skate using leftover crepe streamers. So, when the party is over don't throw those streamers away. Cut them up and let the kids create art. Reuse, Recycle, Create!
i remember doing many versions of this in 1st grade with paste (yum, remember paste?), tissue paper and a pencil. we drew a shape, smeared paste over it, wrapped squares of tissue paper around the eraser end of a pencil and stuck it in to the glue. many many times. then the tissue stands up! pretty! but hard for little ones i guess!

Well, I don't have any old streamers, but I do buy rolls of them just for this reason if that counts:-).
