Kentucky Cardinals
We are currently learning about the state of Kentucky for our Fifty States Project. For each state, we learn a little about an animal, insect, etc. from the state. The Cardinal is the state bird of Kentucky. You can find printable bird coloring pages by clicking here.

those are pretty cardinals! I love seeing them in the winter on snow :)
Very pretty project. Too bad we don't see cardinals here - they are spectacular.
I always see cardinals when I run. I make a wish on them, some wives tale I heard years ago:-).

Interesting, the cardinal is also the state bird of North Carolina. I wonder how much overlap there is. My kids found it amusing that cardinals were hunted by cats.
