Amazing

We found this bird's nest in our driveway a few days ago.  There were no birds or eggs in it.  We all enjoyed examining it for a while, and C brought it to school to show his teacher and classmates.  This is the first time I have ever really examined a bird's nest.  I was definitely amazed by the incredible detail.  Who would ever guess that birds could create something so intricate?

That is sooooo cool! My mom found one in her driveway a few years ago, and we thought it was fascinating!

My kids have started noticing nests too, but we've never been able to look at one up close and personal. That is a great experience.

That is a very cool find! Did you see the nest over at Fantastic Five (//thefantasticfive-hockmana.blogspot.com/2010/06/creative-critters.html )? They even had eggs - so neat!

How neat to be able to examine a real nest. I agree - it's amazing that birds can build something so intricate.

What timing we found a smaller bird's nest right out the front door a few days before you found yours. It was a like a little gift had fallen from the giant pine tree! (Actually I think it fell because we had some intense wind accompanying a rainstorm.)
